Reach
About Our Club:
The REACH Program is a peer leadership organization dedicated to mediation and community outreach. Through active listening and by remaining a reliable source of consistent support, our members strive to instill positivity, respect, and understanding with their peers. Moreover, these peer leaders volunteer with community service-based and prevention projects in both the school and community in an effort to promote a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle, tolerance of differences, and positive living messages. The ultimate goal is to directly help those in need in their community and foster compassion towards others.
REACH aims to channel the power of community service towards compassionate connections and support for those in need by fostering an environment where students naturally become helpers. Our commitment extends to promoting a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle, embracing differences with tolerance, and spreading positive living messages.

KHS Self Advocacy Club
& Unified PE
About Our organization:
Self-Advocacy is a dynamic and empowering civil rights movement that champions the rights of individuals with intellectual disabilities. It involves individuals voicing their opinions on matters they find significant, making it a universal capability. Combined with the Unified PE program, our students find strength in unity, fostering a sense of community and support.
Embracing one's strengths and taking pride in personal abilities is a fundamental aspect, coupled with the willingness to take risks and explore new opportunities. Self-advocacy is about pursuing aspirations, making decisions, and embracing the learning curve that comes with making mistakes. It extends beyond the individual to encompass active participation in the broader community.
Effective self-advocacy also involves managing emotions to ensure that one's message is heard, as well as cultivating curiosity and asking questions. In essence, self-advocacy is the journey of learning how to speak for oneself and autonomously make decisions that shape one's life.

Teen PEP
About Our organization:
The Teen Prevention Education Program (Teen PEP) utilizes peer-to-peer education to increase students’ knowledge, attitudes, skills, and behaviors associated with healthy decision-making.
Teen PEP is implemented in high schools as a course for-credit that meets daily. These peer educators, in turn, conduct a series of structured workshops with groups of younger peers, faculty, and parents/caregivers.
Teen PEP also includes a parent and caregiver involvement component. Peer educators organize and facilitate a Family Night event for peers and their parents/caregivers to provide an opportunity for parent-teen dialogue about sexual health issues.
